VanIsle Fiddlers is all-ages local folk music ensemble has been going strong in Nanaimo since 2004, performing widely at festivals, barn dances, seasonal celebrations, and private events.
The group members range in age from 8 to 70+ years, and include many fiddle players as well as harp, guitar, penny whistle, cello, mandolin, piano, and Irish drum.
Under the leadership of Trish Clair and Geoff Horrocks, the group meets weekly to learn a variety of traditional and contemporary fiddle tunes as well as popular and folk music drawn from other sources.
